Stonewall Democrats of San Antonio members were saddened to learn that our friend, longtime Stonewall member and fellow activist, Travis Peterson, died Wednesday morning, March 4, at his home. His life partner, Charles Cuneo, was at his side. As you probably know, Travis was in declining health and was in home hospice care at the time of his death.  You will recall that Travis was a respected social worker, LGBT and political activist both in Houston and in San Antonio. Travis was the one who initiated the LGBT sensitivity training with the SA Police Department cadets back in 2006. He was a gentle giant of a man who had a heart of love and kindness.

Funeral Services for Travis are scheduled for Saturday, March 14  at 9:00 am at Mission Park North Funeral Home 3401 Cherry Ridge, San Antonio, Texas.
